In May of 1988, Amaury Rivera, a waiter in Caporro, Puerto Rico, was flipping through photos his aunt had developed from his Kodak Instamatic. His heart sank as the memories of a strange morning came rushing back. On his way home at 4:30 AM, he had been taken from his car by small beings. When he returned, he saw a giant floating object in the sky and, in a daze, snapped pictures. Those photographs—showing a flying saucer surrounded by fighter jets—eventually ended up in the hands of host Chris Ramsay, who purchased them at auction. Ramsay reads Rivera's own account of the abduction, drawn from a book Rivera wrote years later, and tries to make sense of a story that involves alien beings, holographic projections of a paradise planet, and warnings of global destruction.

The Abduction on a Foggy Road

After a grueling night waiting tables at a salsa concert, Rivera drove home along a dark road near La Bajura. He noticed a dense, white fog—a detail Ramsay notes is common in UFO encounter reports, comparing it to the story of Sergeant First Class Jeremy Weeks. Suddenly, Rivera heard footsteps beside his car. He saw a small, pale creature with an enormous head and almond-shaped eyes running alongside him. In panic, he hit the brake instead of the gas. The creature appeared in front of his car, then beside his door. Rivera felt paralyzed, unable to move, and fainted.
