Lindsay Clancy is a Massachusetts mother who, in January 2023, strangled her three young children—Cora, Dawson, and Callan—one after another using exercise bands. She then attempted suicide by jumping from a window. At trial, her defense argued postpartum psychosis and the influence of psychiatric medication. The jury deadlocked, resulting in a mistrial. Several jurors later gave interviews defending their inability to convict, while the lone holdout for a guilty verdict remained anonymous—and, according to Ekpunobi, was outed by the other jurors to push a narrative.
